Other Ceremonies

Christenings and Naming Ceremonies

From time immemorial, parents have celebrated the arrival of a newborn by initiating them into their faith, their family or society in general.

The style of a traditional Christening or Baptism is well known, and Archbishop Ron adheres to the basic Christian formula of immersion or pouring water on the child (or adult) while using the Trinitarian formula of Baptism.

Ceremonies can be specially created/added to using the family’s own selection of words, poems, and readings from the wide selection provided. A certificate of Baptism is provided after the ceremony.

There are many ways to make your child’s ceremony a very personal, meaningful, and unique event for all those involved. Again, Archbishop Ron does not require you to be a member of a particular church or denomination – this is about you and your children, not the church.

Funerals and End-Of-Life Celebrations

Death comes to us all eventually and we grieve in differing ways. Funerals of course acknowledge that someone has died but they can also celebrate the life of the person who has died. Funerals are both an opportunity to celebrate the life and accomplishments of a loved one, and they are a chance to say goodbye.

Funerals can also be a major point from which the healing process can begin after the death of a loved one.

Archbishop Ron is honoured to be able to celebrate the life of your loved one. As with any “Life-celebration”, the content of a funeral service is very much in your hands and probably influenced very much by the desires of the deceased. Archbishop Ron will work with you through this difficult time to ensure that your loved one has a celebration filled with dignity and thoughtfulness.
